All staff members are state certified, or working towards immediate certification. The Day Care and Preschool program, facility and curriculum are not only state certified but also Internationally Accredited through the International Christian Accrediting Association.
Staff Qualifications
Canaland Staff are required by the state of Wisconsin to have specified training to care for the preschool child. Canaland meets and exceeds the expected requirements. Head Teachers oversee Assistant Teachers in each of the areas at Canaland. If at any time you have concerns regarding the quality of care, procedures, etc., we urge you to speak with a Receptionist, who will address the problem immediately, along with informing the administrator.
Staff/Child Ratios
Teacher to child ratios vary, depending upon the age. Ratios are established by the state of Wisconsin. They are:
Birth—2 years 1:4 2 years—2 1/2 yrs. 1:6
2 1/2—3 years 1:8 3 years—4 years 1:10
4 years—5 years1:13 5 years—6 years 1:17
6 & older 1:18
